Martin + Colin, P.C. Achieves Nearly $1 Million Settlement in Motorcycle Crash Case Previously Rejected by Another Law Firm

The White Plains law firm Martin + Colin, P.C. has secured a settlement of nearly one million dollars for a motorcyclist who sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car making an improper u-turn.  This significant victory was made all the more notable because the injured motorcyclist’s case had previously been declined by another law firm that failed to see its potential.  The previous law firm had wrongly concluded that the injuries were minimal and advised the injured motorcyclist that the law firm was too busy to handle his minor claim.

The case arose from an August 23, 2020 collision in the Town of Ramapo in Rockland County.  The injured plaintiff was lawfully operating his motorcycle when the offending driver suddenly pulled her vehicle from a parked position into his lane, causing a devastating crash.  The motorcyclist suffered significant injuries and his motorcycle was a total loss.
