Cash Settlement for Slip and Fall on Icy Sidewalk

Martin + Colin, P.C. announces the cash settlement of a slip and fall on icy sidewalk case.Girl at surgery

The plaintiff, a resident of New Rochelle, New York, was walking to work early one January morning when he slipped and fell on a portion of sidewalk that was also used as the driveway entrance to an auto quick-lube business.  The plaintiff was walking on the path that had been cleared of snow earlier that morning by a quick-lube employee. Apparently, a patch of ice caused the plaintiff to slip and fall.  Fortunately, the accident was witnessed by another pedestrian and the operator of a nearby motor vehicle.  The plaintiff’s arm immediately felt like it was broken.  The New Rochelle Fire Department, an ambulance and a police officer all responded to the scene, and the injured pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Sound Shore Medical Center for treatment of his left arm and back pain.

The pedestrian sustained a fractured left wrist, which was placed in a hard cast. Although the cast has been removed, he continues to experience numbness of the left arm and radiating back pain since the accident.Logo-M-C-Only-2011
